Dr. Stephanie Schumacher

Dr. Stephanie Schumacher earned her Honors Bachelor of Science degree from Western University, followed by her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry, where she graduated with distinction. After graduation, Dr. Schumacher completed a residency in Cornea and Contact Lens at the Michigan College of Optometry, where she dedicated a year to learning advanced contact lens fitting for patients with trauma, corneal disease, keratoconus, post-LASIK ectasia, pain, dry eye and high prescriptions. Her residency also had a special focus on myopia management and she has extensive experience fitting orthokeratology lenses for children who are nearsighted. Dr. Schumacher is licensed to practice in both Canada and the USA. She is a new Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, and is pursuing her Fellowship with the Scleral Lens Society. ​​​​​​​Born and raised in Kitchener, she is excited to be accepting new patients in the Oakville and Burlington communities.
