Dr. Shiv Tamakuwala

Dr. Shiv Tamakuwala earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology at York University, before graduating from the UIW Rosenberg School of Optometry in Texas where he developed a commitment to excellence and compassionate healthcare. His training at the UIW Eye Institute, ParkHurst NuVision, Community Eye Clinic, and Ginter Eyecare Center provided him with advanced clinical experiences in primary and pediatric eyecare, specialty contact lenses, myopia management, dry eye treatment, and refractive surgery including LASIK and cataracts. He is also experienced with systemic and ocular disease such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and emergency eye care. Dr. Tamakuwala is a member of the Gold Key Optometric Honor Society, College of Optometrists of Ontario, Ontario Association of Optometrists, and Canadian Association of Optometrists. His commitment to ongoing education and professional development drives him to offer the latest advancements to his patients. He enjoys sports and fitness, travelling, and spending time with his friends and family. Dr. Tamakuwala can connect with patients of all ages and backgrounds and looks forward to seeing you for your next eye exam.
