Dr. Angela Fu graduated from the University of Waterloo, School of Optometry, International Optometric Bridging Program. She obtained her license for practicing optometry, board certification to treat and manage ocular diseases in 2012 and started to practice in Ontario since then. Dr. Fu also has a Master Degree of Ophthalmology from Fudan University, Shanghai Medical School in China where she completed her internship in general ocular disease and specialty clinical training in pediatric eye care. She has 5 years working experience as an ophthalmologist at hospitals. Dr. Fu has been providing comprehensive patient care in ocular health field since 2004. She has extensive experience in determining various refractive errors, prescribing glasses and contact lens, diagnosing and treating eye diseases, co-management with other health specialists. In her spare time, she loves travelling, music and spending time with family.
Dr. Divya Mistry received her Bachelors of Science in Optometry from the University of Bradford in the United Kingdom. After gaining her degree, she continued to work overseas for 6 years allowing her to gaining experience in diagnosing and managing various eye conditions. To add, she has experience in fitting a wide rage of contact lenses to help fit your needs. Dr. Mistry has an interest in ocular disease and is dedicated to helping you improve and maintain excellent eye health. Dr. Mistry is passionate about building relationships with her patients and looks forward to getting to know you and your family. Outside of work, she enjoys keeping active where she is regularly involved in exploring the outdoors, bouldering, fitness and traveling.
Dr. Sheran Sahota is a primary care eye care physician who is passionate about providing a comprehensive and comfortable patient care experience, with an emphasis on contact lenses and therapeutics. She is committed to serving the needs of diverse communities with previous externships and volunteer experiences in low-income communities and veterans. Dr. Sahota graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry with her Doctor of Optometry in 2018. Prior to her doctorate, she earned her Bachelor of Science (Honours) from the University of Western Ontario with a double major in physiology and psychology (Dean's Honours List). Dr. Sahota is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society, Ontario College of Optometrists, Canadian and Ontario Association of Optometrists. Outside of her professional career, she enjoys travelling, music, and exploring local restaurants. Dr. Sahota provides service in English and Punjabi.
Dr. Fallon Patel completed her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry from the University of Waterloo with Deans Honour List in 2011. She has been providing comprehensive eye care services for over 11 years. Dr. Patel provides comprehensive eye care for all ages. With a special interest in helping children, it is her mission to ensure that our paediatric population have access to current and up-to-date preventative eye care services. With this interest, Dr. Patel furthered her studies to complete a fellowship with the College of Vision Development (FCOVD), the leading non-profit organization focused on advancing excellence in optometric vision therapy and myopia management. This extensive process allows for Dr. Patel to comprehensively examine and confidently treat children requiring myopia control including orthokeratology, vision therapy and rehabilitation. With this subset Dr. Patel also provides care for paediatric and adult patients having keratoconus to be fitted into scleral lenses. Dr. Patel and the Canadian Optometric Association recommends that your child have their first eye exam at 6 months of age and then to check yearly. Dr. Fallon Patel was born in Hamilton, Ontario and now with her family resides in Oakville, Ontario. On her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband, two small children and their family dog, a Keeshimo. She also enjoys the outdoors, reading and fine arts.
Dr. Ashiwini Selvakumar completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Guelph, and then continued to pursue her Doctor of Optometry degree at the New England College of Optometry in Boston. She has had the opportunity to train and complete her rotations at various clinical sites in the States, including Boston Medical Centre, VA Medical Centres, various community health centres in Boston, and a private practice in both Illinois and New Hampshire. Dr. Selvakumar enjoys working with patients of all ages, and has a keen interest in ocular disease and myopia control. During her free time she enjoys spending time outdoors, exploring new places to eat, and spending time with her friends and family.
Dr. Shobitha Ratnakumar received her Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences from University of Toronto. She then went on to receive her Bachelor of Science in Optometry from Aston University in Birmingham, United Kingdom. Following this she continued her training at Boots Opticians in Swindon, United Kingdom where she gained valuable experiences in diagnosing various eye diseases and fitting different types of contact lenses. Dr. Ratnakumar has over 9 years of experience in optometric practice and she enjoys providing comprehensive eye examinations for all ages and fits a wide variety of contact lenses.
Dr. Sandy Zhu graduated from the University of Waterloo with her Optometry degree and Dean’s Honours List. She has completed an ocular therapeutics and disease rotation at the Eye Foundation of Utah in Salt Lake City where she has worked extensively with ophthalmologists and optometrists on difficult and unique cases involving conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration and dry eye diseases. Dr. Zhu welcomes patients from all ages. She strives to provide a comfortable and enriching experience for her patients. She is fluent in English and Mandarin.
Dr. Rajwinder Saggu grew up in Oakville, Ontario and attended McMaster University in Hamilton, where she received her Bachelors of Life Sciences degree with Honours. She then went on to complete her Doctor of Optometry degree at Nova Southeastern University In Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. During her Optometry training, Dr. Saggu resided on the Beta Sigma Kappa Honour’s society for all four years of her schooling. She has received extensive training in ocular disease, and contact lenses through externship programs with The Eye Centers of South Florida in Miami, and Envision Eye Care In Ft. Lauderdale. Dr. Saggu is an active member of the College of Optometrists of Ontario and Ontario Association of Optometrists. She is fluent in English, Punjabi and Hindi. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Saggu enjoys reading books, traveling, cooking different cuisines.
Dr. Colleen Brown is passionate about providing comprehensive eyecare for patients of all ages. She has a professional interest in dry eye management, ocular nutrition and disease prevention. Dr. Brown has been practicing optometry for over 20 years and has been working in Burlington for the last 10 years since moving from her hometown of Calgary. Dr. Brown graduated from the University of Waterloo with her Doctor of Optometry (Dean’s Honours List) with awards in excellence for Low Vision and Binocular Vision. Dr. Brown also has a B.Sc. in Cellular, Molecular and Microbial Biology with distinction from the University of Calgary. Dr. Brown and her family live in Oakville. She is an avid tennis player and enjoys travel, reading and walking with her two dogs.
Dr. Militar completed his Bachelor of Science Honors Degree at the University of Toronto where he graduated with distinctions. He then completed his Doctor of Optometry Degree at the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Militar has had extensive training in ocular disease, primary care, low vision as well several speciality contact lenses. He trained at several Veterans Affairs Hospitals, including the Jamaica Plain VA in Boston and the Hudson Valley VA in New York. He also worked alongside several ophthalmologists at The Eye Centers of South Florida in Miami and the Boston Foundation for Sight in Massachusetts. Dr. Militar is a member of the College of Optometrists of Ontario, Ontario Association of Optometrists and the Canadian Association of Optometrists. He is also board certified in both Canada and the United States. Dr. Militar is dedicated to providing high quality comprehensive eye care and welcomes patients of all ages.
Dr. Chloe Somers graduated from Queen’s University with a Honours Bachelor of Science in Biology. She then went on to New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts to obtain her Doctor of Optometry. Her training focused on ocular disease and low vision, working in Veterans Affairs hospitals in Providence, RI and Buffalo, NY. She also spent time learning from a diverse group of ophthalmologists and optometrists in Miami, FL. After practicing in Boston, Dr. Somers decided to return home to Ontario but remains board certified in both Canada and the United States. Outside of work, she enjoys baking, traveling, and reading the latest best-seller novel.
Dr. Naguib is a primary care eye care physician that provides comprehensive eye exams and specializes in the treatment of ocular disease with experience in pre-operative and post-operative cataract and refractive surgery. He manages various conditions such as, keratoconus, dry eye, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and other ocular diseases. Dr. Naguib attended the University of Toronto prior to his admission to Nova Southeastern University if Fort Lauderdale, where he completed his Doctor of Optometry degree. His post-graduate training consisted of an externship at the Orlando Veterans Affairs Hospital Lake Nona and Kasten eye Surgery Center in Boca Raton. Dr. Naguib concluded several medical internships in the Ft. Lauderdale community prior to completing a one-year medical residency at Newsom Eye in Tampa, Florida, this program provides an emphasis on pre-operative and post-operative maagement of cataract and refractive surgery in addition to the management of ocular disease. Dr. Naguib has participated in several medical serice mission trips with the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists group where he had the opportunity to care for patients in Bolivia, Egypt and Nicaragua. Outside of the clinic you may find him participating in recreational basketball leagues around the greater Toronto area.
Dr. Stephanie Schumacher earned her Honors Bachelor of Science degree from Western University, followed by her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry, where she graduated with distinction. After graduation, Dr. Schumacher completed a residency in Cornea and Contact Lens at the Michigan College of Optometry, where she dedicated a year to learning advanced contact lens fitting for patients with trauma, corneal disease, keratoconus, post-LASIK ectasia, pain, dry eye and high prescriptions. Her residency also had a special focus on myopia management and she has extensive experience fitting orthokeratology lenses for children who are nearsighted. Dr. Schumacher is licensed to practice in both Canada and the USA. She is a new Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, and is pursuing her Fellowship with the Scleral Lens Society. Born and raised in Kitchener, she is excited to be accepting new patients in the Oakville and Burlington communities.
